TikTok hashtag reach estimator
A planning estimate, not a measurement. The number that matters is unique reach, and it is always lower than the impressions add up to.
Free, no account, and nothing you type here leaves your browser.
Overlap is the number this rests on and the one nobody can know without measuring. Treat the result as a range, not a figure — if you need the real one, pull the posts and count the distinct accounts.
Why impressions and reach are different numbers
Adding up the views on every post in a campaign gives you impressions, and impressions double-count. The same person scrolls past three posts in a campaign and is counted three times, which is how a campaign that reached forty thousand people gets reported as reaching a hundred and twenty thousand.
Unique reach discounts for that. The discount is the overlap between the audiences, and it goes down as you spread a campaign over more creators — four creators in different niches overlap far less than four in the same one. Thirty to forty per cent is a reasonable default for a single-niche campaign; ten to fifteen for a deliberately spread one.
If the difference matters commercially, estimate it once and then measure it. Pull the posts carrying the hashtag, pull the accounts that engaged with each, and count the distinct ones. That is a real number, and it is the thing this calculator is guessing at.
What overlap should I use?
Why is views the input rather than followers?
Can I measure this properly instead?
Doing this at volume?
These are calculators. The API behind them returns TikTok profiles, videos, comments, followers, sounds and hashtags as typed JSON — billed per result delivered, from $0.50 per thousand, with no subscription. New accounts get free credits to try it.
